Celebrate the rich tradition of Día de los Muertos, and honor loved ones by participating in our 2nd Annual Community Organization Altar Contest. Showcase your creativity and cultural expressions in this meaningful community event! The winning organization will receive a donation towards their group/organization. There is no fee to enter.

This is a community voting contest. Voting will open on-site during the event and will remain open online until Friday, November 7, 2025. All altar photos will be uploaded onto our event site for voting opportunities from the public. Voters can vote 1 time each day until the duration of the contest.

After reviewing the guidelines below, if you decide to move forward with entering our Altar Contest, you’ll be guided to our submissions at the bottom of this page.

Due to capacity, we will have to limit the number of participating organizations, so hurry and be one of the first to join!

Important Dates:

Altar Building Timeframe: November 1st, 2025, Time TBD, but we’re looking between 10 am and 5 pm
Event Date and Hours: November 1, 2025, 7 pm – 11 pm
Altar Breakdown: November 1, 2025, 11:30 pm
Community Altar Online Voting Concludes: November 7, 2025

Each person/group is responsible for the construction & cost of their own Altar. Materials and Items to be used (You will be provided with a 6’ x 4’ indoor space. Tarps, tents, or canopies are not allowed).

Acknowledgements

Electricity: I am aware that electricity is not currently available for Altar spaces. If this changes, participants will be notified.
Safety Notice: I am aware that for safety purposes, open flames and candles are not permitted at the venue. Battery-operated candles are welcome and encouraged to maintain the traditional ambiance of the altars.
Liability: I am aware that Event Producers and venue are not responsible for loss or damage. I am aware that altars will be in a public space and that my group and I will use copies of photos used in the altar instead of originals
